Simply put, Ralph and the crew at RIK Fine Home Building are craftsmen. They know their business and take pride in delivering on budget and on time but they also deliver something more - and that is a job you know wouln't fall apart after they've gone. My wife and I hired RIK to replace our roof. They didn't stop there, they eradicated several insect nests and braced the overhang on our porch because it was the right thing to do. They of course called first to confirm we wanted them to do so, For the little it cost in time and materials we would have been foolish not to. Thank you guys for having our backs on this and will be calling you on any future projects that might arise.

We did a lot of work with RIK Fine homebuilders this summer including a wide range of projects from pouring concrete to replacing windows and doors. I found their work to be high quality done with care and attention to detail. The nature of the work required some problem solving and time and again I found the solutions proposed to be creative and budget conscious. This contractor was easy to work with and the crew was always respectful and polite. I will be working with them again.

We contacted RIK Fine Home Building to renovate our post and beam house that needed some solid engineering and solutions for a complicated roof line. We purchased the house knowing there was damage to the existing siding where the original roof and gutters had failed. Ralph and his crew were able to design and implement a solution for every complex section of the roof that diverted water properly away from the siding and trim. They are a friendly and courteous crew that always cleaned up job site each day and we are very happy with the job they performed. We have confidently gone on to recommend them to some friends needing renovation work for their home as well.

Rick Kring and his fabulous crew took on a 4,500 square foot gut renovation of a 150 year old completely gutted double town house in Hudson, NY for us. Everything had to be rebuilt from the inside out. All new electric, plumbing, walls, 40 windows / sliding glass doors, a third floor terrace which required roof reconstruction, interior walls and 45 interior doors, 5 1/2 bathrooms, two kitchens, 2 decks, new siding, trim around every window, door and wall, and two solid maple staircases going up three floors. Rick worked with his crew every single day for 20 months and managed to turn this old house into a state of the art, energy efficient beauty. He pays attention to every detail whether it’s visible or invisible. Rick and his crew are not only hard-working and dedicated to quality but also polite and bring a positive, can-do attitude each and every day. They were flexible about changes and always willing to go the extra mile. These guys are master craftsmen who take great pride in what they do! Everything was finished to perfection. Our building, which maybe should have been a tear-down, is now the talk of the town and will live a few hundred more years. We highly recommend hiring RIK Fine Home Building for any building project. If they take on a job they make it their number one priority and will not leave you hanging. They are all such stellar people that we actually miss seeing them now that they are finished.

I've worked with Ralph and his crew on several projects. From restoring my mid-century modern cabin to bringing my newly purchased three story house in Hudson, not only is he flexible and solutions oriented, but he just knows what his client wants and expects. He is a true craftsman and asks nothing less from the people who work for him. The bottom line is he does an amazing job from rough to fine finish, and always with a joke to share along the way. He's my go to contractor, because if he doesn't feel comfortable with what you need, he has a long list of craftsmen and women he can bring in. I've yet to have a bad experience with RIK.

We hired RIK Fine Homebuilding to do a major top-to-bottom renovation for us when we bought our house. Our place is very old and it was an enormous and complex undertaking. I highly recommend Ralph Kring and his crew from RIK Fine Home Building LLC. We have an old house that needed a substantial upgrade of the windows. Ralph helped us out in selecting what would be the best choice for new windows, and he oversaw the installation of 24 new windows. The work is exceptionally well done. The craftmanship and professionalism are of the highest quality. My wife and I could notbe happier with the results.

We also were very impressed with the crew. In addition to being very hard-working and skilled at their craft, they were very nice to be around. They took exceptional care to leave the workspace neat during the process, and everything was as clean as could be when they finished.

Finally, the price is very fair for the value. Ralph is the kind of person who establishes relationships with his clients. He bills fairly and reasonably, especially given the quality of work RIK Fine Home provides. I highly recommend him.
